Sell Used Parts

The new tool is added: you can sell used parts from suppliers with local price lists and from online suppliers.

Mark up the used part in the local price list in one of the following ways:

  • In Work with price lists ► Loading rules when marking up the price list:

    • in the field Flag as Used, specify the symbol or text for marking up used parts in the price list and mark up the column with the used parts;

    • mark up the column Supplier's SKU;

    • When loading used parts in the price list, mark up the column Supplier's SKU. The unique used part ID is generated by the combination Supplier's SKU and Price list ID. This identifier is used when submitting the client’s orders and online orders. It is required to accurately define the used part.

    • if there are images, mark up the column Image of the used part. The column contains the link to the used part image. To upload several images, use the separator specified in the field Separator for images of used parts;

    • if there is part description, mark up the column Used part description.


    The attribute Used part specified when marking up the price list has the highest priority than other attributes.

  • In Work with price lists ► Loading rules, in the marketing settings of the price list, in the option Goods type, select which goods are in the price list: New or Used.


    The attribute Used part specified in the marketing settings of the price list has a lower priority than the one specified when marking up the price list and a higher priority than the one specified when adding/editing the supplier's card.

  • In Work with suppliers ► Suppliers ► List of suppliers, in the form for adding/editing the supplier, in the option Goods type, select which parts the supplier works with: New or Used.


    The attribute Used part specified when adding/editing the supplier has the lowest priority.

On the page of search results in the Client part, the new group is added: Used parts. You can manage its display in Settings ► Settings of preset pages ► Search by part number, the tab Groups. The group Used parts is also added in the filter Offer type.

The block Used parts shows first goods with the searched part number and brand and then their interchanges. The used parts with the attribute In stock are displayed in the block irrespective of the parameter Group the offers with the parameter In stock from the block Search by part number in Settings ► Settings of preset pages.


The icon Used part is displayed for each used part. When hovering the cursor over the icon, you see the hint with the description of the used part. To open the flypage of the part, click the used part. The flypage can be opened by clicking the line in search results or the icon – as it used to be.

The flypage of the used part is created individually for each item and differs from the flypage of a new part by the following:

  • The icon Used part is added.

  • The block with the description of the used part is added. The description is taken from the price list or from the online service.

  • Data from the Product portfolio, catalogs, and Web info are not used for images of used parts. Only images directly connected with a specific used part are displayed.


The icon of the used part, supplier's SKU, name of the source, images, and description are saved for the goods in the window of adding the item to the cart, in the cart of the orders, on the page of the order placement, and in the list of orders.

The following is added on the page of search results in the Administrative part:

  • The column Supplier's SKU. The data for this column are taken from local price lists.

  • The group of search results Used parts. The group is displayed when the options Grouped and Grouped* are enabled in the parameter View search results by part number in  Settings ► General settings of the online store ► Administrative part. First, the block displays goods with the searched part number and brand and then their interchanges.

  • The icon Used part is displayed for all used parts, as well as the image and the name from the source.


The click on the information icon opens the flypage. The flypage is created separately for each used part and complies with the flypage of the used part in the Client part. You can open the flypage on the pages Cart and Order confirmation, as well as in the list of client's items and items to suppliers.

In Online store ► Orders ► Items in orders, Work with suppliers ► Orders to suppliers ► Items in orders, and Work with archive ► Orders ► Items in orders, the following elements are added:

  • the option Used part in the filter by recommendations;

  • the icon Used part in the column Recommendations;

  • the Supplier's SKU for the used part in the column Supplier's SKU.


Images of goods are downloaded to the following folder on the FTP server /_upload/used_items_images/[ref of the item in the client’s order] when placing the order both in the Client and Administrative parts. To specify the data storage time for used parts, the parameter Storage time for the images of the used parts after they are added to the cart, days is added in Settings ► General settings of the online store ►General settings.

There are changes in the work of some standard actions:

  • in Online store ► Orders ► Items in orders:

    • Change the supplier – the action is blocked for used parts;

    • Order to the supplier – when the action is performed, the supplier's SKU and the attribute Used part are additionally transferred to the item in the order to the supplier. The column Supplier's SKU is added in the printed form of the order to the supplier.

    • Return request – when the action is performed, the attribute Used part and the supplier's SKU are transferred to Online store ► Returns ► Return requests.

  • in Work with suppliers ► Orders to suppliers ► Items in orders:

    • Change the supplier – the action is blocked for used parts;

    • Return to the supplier – when this action is performed, the attribute Used part and the supplier's SKU are sent to the document Return to the supplier.

    • Online order – when the online order is performed, the item update form contains the additional column Used parts ID, Used part icon, and the flypage icon. In case of the online order, the item placed in the client's order is selected (by the unique item ID). If another item is selected and transferred to the online order, the supplier's SKU, the attribute Used part, and the unique ID of the product are updated for the item in the supplier's order and in the client's order.

    • The online order is not sent if the price and/or the delivery term change more than the allowable deviation and if the item is not found by the ID. In such a case, the actions follow the parameter Action when going out of bounds for deviations on the tab Online order of Settings ► Customizing online services.

Stock bookkeeping is not yet adjusted to work with used parts. The supplier’s SKU and the attribute Used part generated for used parts are not transferred to Shipping and Goods arrival.

There is a new possibility for AutoResource projects to act as online suppliers of used parts with functions of price search and online order. The option Goods type is added in the settings of the online supplier in SettingsCustomizing online services where you can specify which goods should be displayed in search results from the online supplier: new, used, or all.
